How Much Does it Cost to Hire a Criminal Defense Attorney?

How Much Will It Cost for Me to Hire a Criminal Defense Attorney?

It all depends on what kind of case you have and the facts of the case. Each case is different. There are misdemeanors where most people are not looking at any jail time, there are felonies punishable by life in prison, and many other varying degrees of felonies in between, where someone may be looking at possibly going to prison for a considerable amount of time. Additionally, the fees we charge vary by an attorney’s years of experience. I have 28 years’ experience as an attorney and have spent 21 of those years as a State and Federal criminal defense attorney.

As an attorney, I work with people that cannot afford to pay the entire fee up front by offering a payment plan or if the client can afford to pay for the entire fee in one payment, we can offer to discount the fee. Again, it still depends on how difficult the case may be, the number of attorney hours that may be involved, the level of expertise required for that particular case and the possible penalties the client may be facing.
